Adding WebKruz to the Internet Explorer Search Bar

Just like Firefox, WebKruz can also be added to the Internet Explorer search bar. The search bar is able to have multiple search engine plug-ins. Below is an image of how the search bar drop down looks before WebKruz plug-in is added.

WebKruz not installed into the search bar.

To add WebKruz to the Internet Explorer search bar, first navigate to WebKruz. From the WebKruz homepage or the results page, click the drop down arrow in the search engine bar. I found the next part a little confusing. If you click on the WebKruz menu item, you will be able to enter a search term in the edit box and execute a search. However, once you leave the WebKruz site you may no longer be able to use WebKruz to search. Instead you need to use the Add Search Providers | WebKruz menu to first add WebKruz to the search bar.

After clicking on the add WebKruz search providers menu, a dialog will appear to confirm that you would really like to add the search plug-in to Internet Explorer.

Add Search Engine Confirmation.

That is it. Now you can search WebKruz by simply using the search engine toolbar.

Webkruz Launch Party

Tonight we had a Webkruz launch party.  Exciting things have been happening here at Webkruz.  Last week we launched the release version of Webkruz as well as started our sales campaign.  You may have noticed a few new features on the site.  We’ve been listening to your feedback, and we have made some modifications to our site.  First, we moved the zoom button (magnifying glass) to the bottom left corner of the thumbnail to make it easier to specify which site will be zoomed.  We changed the background color of the page information to make it easier to read.  We changed the size of the thumbnails to make the results site look less busy.  There have been other minor changes to make the site easier to understand, and we are hard at work to keep the improvements coming!

Tonight was all about fun though!  We are celebrating the next big thing!  Take a Webkruz - see the world of search!

Here’s a picture of four of us celebrating tonight:  (left to right - Trey Spiva, CTO; Scott Chambless, CEO; Don Padilla, VP of Sales and Service; and J.D. King, VP of Social Networking)

New Look

We have been working hard to design a modern and exciting look for WebKruz. We are finally ready to push the new look. With the new look, we have added an about page. We also added a couple of new features, too, such as the ability to share our site as well as the ability to contact us and tell us what you think about our product.

We also enhanced our stream control feature. The stream control feature is used to control how fast the websites will stream across the page. To control the stream speed, the slider control above the active stream is used. However, the original stream control was a little awkward because it was not obvious why there was a slider control.

New Stream Control

The new stream speed control has a label to let users know the purpose of the slider. The stream control also has a second label that shows the stream speed. As you move the stream controls thumbnail, the label will update to show the new value of the stream speed.
